Mount Vernon, TX

Mount Vernon is a small town located in Williamson County, Texas. The population was 1,859 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Williamson County.

The town was founded in 1837 and named for George Washington, the first U.S. President. Mount Vernon is located on the banks of the Brazos River and is known for its historic homes and businesses, as well as its agricultural and livestock industries.
