Rosanky is a small town located in Williamson County, Texas. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. Rosanky is located on U.S. Highway 290, about 10 miles north of Georgetown and 25 miles south of Austin.

The town was founded in 1887 by J.W. Rosanky and named for him. The first business in Rosanky was a general store operated by J.W.'s brother-in-law, Wm. Hargrave, who also served as the first postmaster of the town (1887-1889). In 1889, J.W.'s son-in-law Cephas Aplin opened a blacksmith shop and wagon shop in Rosanky; he also served as postmaster from 1889 to 1893 and as mayor from 1896 to 1898. Aplin's son, Charles Aplin Jr., continued the family business until it closed in 1978; his grandson currently operates the business under the name "Charles Aplin Forge & Supply."

The original buildings in Rosanky were made of wood frame construction with clapboard siding; most were destroyed by fire during World War II (1942). The present commercial district in Rosanky is built primarily of brick with a few wooden structures remaining; these include an old schoolhouse that has been converted into an antique store and several outbuildings used for storage or garages (the only other wooden structure remaining in the commercial district is an old church). Most of the newer businesses are housed in modern buildings constructed with metal roofs and walls; however, there are still a few older businesses operating within the commercial district (including two gas stations).
