Trenton, TX

Trenton is a city located in Williamson County, Texas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 34,890. It is the county seat of Williamson County and home to The University of Texas at Austin.

The city was founded in 1836 and named for General Edward Trenton, a hero of the War of 1812. Trenton is located in southeastern Williamson County at 30°59′N 96°02′W / 30.98,-96.04。 According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of , all land.

As of the census of 2000, there were 33,927 people, 12,521 households, and 9,711 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,569.2 people per square mile (604.4/km²).
