Eureka is a city located in Humboldt County, Utah, United States. The population was 7,812 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Humboldt County.

The first people to live in Eureka were the Ute Indians. In 1851, Mormon pioneers began to settle in the area and by 1857 a small settlement had formed. The town was named after Eureka Springs, New York, where some of the pioneers had been born. The first post office opened in 1861 and Eureka became an official town on February 8th 1865.

Today, Eureka is a thriving community with a rich history and many attractions that make it a popular tourist destination. The city is home to several museums including the Pioneer Museum which tells the story of early settlers in Humboldt County; as well as the Utah Historical Society Museum which has exhibits on local history and pioneer life. There are also several parks including Pioneer Park which features an amusement park and zoo; as well as Forest Park which offers hiking trails and picnic areas.
