Woodbridge, VA

Woodbridge is a suburban town located in Northern Virginia. The population of Woodbridge was 106,811 as of the 2010 census. Woodbridge is bordered by Fairfax County to the north, west and south, and by Prince William County to the east.

The Town of Woodbridge was incorporated in 1972. Prior to that time, it was part of Alexandria County. The Town's boundaries were expanded in 1974 when portions of Great Falls and Herndon were annexed. In 1978, portions of Springfield and Dale City were annexed. In 1990, portions of Centreville and Vienna were annexed.

Today, Woodbridge is home to many high-end neighborhoods including Lakeside at Westlake (a new development), The Shops at Westlake (an older development), Barton Hills (a newer development), Stonegate at Westlake (an older development), The Villages at Westlake (an older development) and more recently Park View Estates which includes a number of upscale single family homes as well as townhomes/condos for sale on large lots with spectacular views overlooking Lake Annehurst or the Potomac River Valley beyond. There are also numerous gated communities including Arbor Lakes Golf & Country Club which features championship golf courses designed by Tom Fazio; Briar Woods; Cameron Park; Cedarbrook; Chestnut Ridge; Crossroads at Chantilly; Fair Oaks Estate; Glen Echo Estate; Greenbriar Estate; Hunting Ridge Estate ; Kensington Woods Estates ; Laurelwood Estate ; Leland Chase Manor ; Liberty Crossing estate ; Magnolia Grove estate ; Montpelier Village II & III estates ; Mount Vernon Place I & II estates .

The Town has several shopping areas including Tysons Corner Center with its many high-end stores such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue , Bloomingdale's , Lord & Taylor , JCPenney , Macy's , Nike Factory Store , Sephora Beauty Store etc.; The Promenade at Lakeside with its upscale boutiques such as BCBG Max Azria , Burberry Prorsum , Coach USA , Dior Homme US etc.; Stonegate Shopping Center with its mix of national chain stores such as Bed Bath & Beyond Home Goods Marshalls Ross Dress for Less Staples etc.; Westfield Tysons Corner featuring Macy's Nordstrom Rack Williams-Sonoma Zara H&M Forever 21etc.; And finally there are numerous strip malls throughout the town catering to all types of shoppers from small independent retailers to big box stores like Target Kohls Walmart
