Kennewick is a city located in Benton County, Washington. The population was 27,811 at the 2010 census. Kennewick is the county seat of Benton County. Kennewick was originally called "Kenna-Wick" after Chief Kenna of the local Yakama Nation. The city was founded in 1881 and incorporated on February 10, 1907.
