Sumner, WA

Sumner is a city located in King County, Washington. The population was 17,868 at the 2010 census. Sumner is part of the Seattle metropolitan area and is bordered by Lake Washington to the east, Kirkland to the south, Redmond to the west and unincorporated King County to the north.

The city's history can be traced back to 1852 when a group of settlers from Oregon arrived in what is now Sumner. The town was officially incorporated on February 14, 1907. In recent years, Sumner has seen an influx of young professionals and families due to its proximity to Seattle and its many amenities including parks, schools and shopping districts.

Real estate in Sumner can be classified into three types: single-family homes (which make up roughly two-thirds of all housing), apartments (primarily found near downtown) and commercial properties (mainly found along arterial roads).
