Tacoma is a city located in Pierce County, Washington, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 198,917. Tacoma is the second most populous city in Washington after Seattle. The city's economy is based largely on health care, technology, and manufacturing. Tacoma has been called "the most livable city in America" by Forbes magazine and "a great place to raise a family" by Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine.
