White Swan, WA

White Swan is a small town located in the northwest corner of Washington. The population was just over 2,000 in 2010 and has been growing at a rate of about 10% each year since then. The town is situated on the banks of the White Swan River and has a rich history dating back to the early 1800s.

The first settlers in White Swan were fur traders who came to trade with the local Native American tribes. In 1853, James J. Hill established a trading post near what is now downtown White Swan and began shipping goods downriver to Seattle. By 1885, there were enough people living in White Swan that it was incorporated as a town.

Today, White Swan is known for its beautiful scenery and close proximity to major tourist destinations like Mount Rainier National Park and Lake Chelan National Recreation Area.
