Leopolis is a small town located in the northwest corner of Waukesha County, Wisconsin. The population was 1,521 at the 2010 census. Leopolis is located on U.S. Highway 45 and County Highway G near the junction of County Highways H and I.

The area that now comprises Leopolis was first settled in 1836 by members of the Potawatomi tribe who were fleeing from Illinois to Wisconsin Territory. The community was originally called "Kah-nuh-wah-seh" (meaning "place where there are many rocks"). In 1847, the town's name was changed to " Leopolis" after Leopold II, King of Belgium. A post office has been in operation at Leopolis since 1847.

The economy of Leopolis is based largely on agriculture and tourism. The town is home to a number of small businesses, including a bakery, a gas station/convenience store, two churches, and a motel/cabins business. There are also several restaurants in the town serving both local and out-of-town cuisine. Tourism is an important part of the economy with visitors coming for hunting and fishing opportunities as well as scenic drives through rural Wisconsin countryside
