Oxford, WI

Oxford is a small town located in the northwest corner of Wisconsin. The population was 1,868 at the 2010 census. Oxford was founded in 1853 and became a city in 1892. The city's economy is based on agriculture, with crops such as corn, soybeans, and wheat being grown in the area. However, since the early 2000s there has been a shift towards tourism as Oxford's main industry.

Real estate is one of Oxford's main economic drivers. In 2007 there were 1,527 housing units in the city; this number has increased each year since then and was 2,924 units by 2016. The average home price in Oxford during this time period was $155,000 which indicates that real estate is becoming more expensive each year. This increase can be attributed to several factors: firstly, Oxford has seen an influx of young professionals who are looking for affordable housing; secondly, there is a growing demand for vacation homes due to Oxford's location near many lakes and resorts; and finally, because of its agricultural history many land parcels have become valuable due to their proximity to markets or transportation hubs.

Despite these positive trends however, it should be noted that not all areas of Oxford are experiencing an increase in prices; some areas have actually seen decreases over the past few years due to low demand or limited supply (for example neighborhoods near the University of Wisconsin- Oxford). Additionally, while real estate prices have increased significantly over the past few years it is important to keep in mind that they are still relatively affordable when compared to other larger cities across America (for example Seattle or San Francisco).
