The town's economy is based largely on agriculture and tourism. However, there is a growing interest in real estate as Reedsville's location near several major highways makes it an attractive place to live or invest.
The history of Reedsville can be traced back to the early 1800s when settlers began arriving in the area. The town was officially founded in 1868 and grew rapidly due to its location on the Milwaukee & St Paul Railroad. At its peak, Reedsville had a population of over 2,000 people and was home to several businesses including a flour mill, bank, hotel, grocery store and newspaper publisher. However, by the early 1900s the railroad had gone out of business and many of these businesses closed down.
Today, Reedsville is still an attractive place to live or invest due to its location near major highways and its proximity to other small towns in northwestern Wisconsin. There are currently no businesses operating in Reedsville that are related to real estate but this may change as interest grows in this sector of the economy.
