Candler is a city in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 1,972 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area.
The Candler Park neighborhood is located just east of downtown Atlanta and contains one of the city's largest public parks. The park includes a golf course, tennis courts, a swimming pool, and several playgrounds. The neighborhood is also home to several restaurants and bars.
Inman Park is another Atlanta neighborhood that has seen a recent resurgence. Inman Park was the first planned suburb of Atlanta and was developed in the late 19th century. Today, the neighborhood is home to many young professionals and families. Inman Park contains several parks, including Freedom Park which offers views of downtown Atlanta. The neighborhood also has its own MARTA station making it easy to get around without a car.
Old Fourth Ward is an up-and-coming neighborhood located just east of downtown Atlanta. The area includes the Martin Luther King Jr National Historic Site as well as many other historic landmarks. Old Fourth Ward has undergone significant redevelopment in recent years and now contains many new restaurants and shops. The BeltLine, a 22-mile network of walking and biking trails, runs through the heart of Old Fourth Ward making it easy to get around without a car.
