There is no doubt that the Kokomo, IN metropolitan statistical area (MSA) has been one of the hardest hit areas in the nation when it comes to the housing market. The Kokomo MSA was one of the areas that were most affected by the subprime mortgage crisis, and as a result, home prices have plummeted and foreclosures have skyrocketed. However, there are signs that the worst may be over for the Kokomo MSA housing market.

Home prices in the Kokomo MSA have bottomed out and are starting to rebound. In fact, according to Zillow, the median home value in Kokomo is currently $85,000, which is up nearly 5% from last year. Additionally, foreclosures are also down significantly from their peak levels a few years ago.

All of these trends point to a slowly recovering housing market in the Kokomo MSA. While it will take time for home values to return to their pre-recession levels, it appears that the worst is finally over for this hard-hit area.
