West Bend is a city in Waushara County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 21,958 at the 2010 census. It is the most populous city in Waushara County and the fourth most populous city in Wisconsin. The city is located on the western shore of Lake Michigan and is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area.

West Bend was founded in 1836 by John Fenton as a small hamlet on the west side of Lake Michigan. In 1856, it was incorporated as a village and became an independent town in 1872. It grew rapidly after World War II as a result of its location on Interstate 94 and its proximity to Milwaukee.
