Bentonville, AR

Bentonville is a city located in Benton County, Arkansas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 25,521. It is the county seat of Benton County and home to the University of Arkansas. The city was founded in 1836 and named for General James Henry Benton.

The economy of Bentonville is based on three primary sectors: retail trade; professional and business services; and manufacturing. Retail trade accounts for more than two-thirds of the city's economy. The largest employers in the city are Walmart, Tyson Foods, JBS USA, Home Depot, Lowe's Companies Inc., and Sam's Club. Professional and business services contribute about one-third of the economy while manufacturing employs less than one percent of the workforce but generates a significant amount of revenue for local businesses.
