Borrego Springs, CA

Borrego Springs is a small town located in the San Diego County, California. The population of Borrego Springs was 10,924 as of the 2010 census. Borrego Springs is known for its natural hot springs and its many luxury resorts. The area has been inhabited by the Serrano people for over 10,000 years.

The first Europeans to visit the area were Spanish missionaries in 1769. In 1851, a group of Mormon pioneers arrived in what is now Borrego Springs and founded the town that same year. The first hotel in Borrego Springs was built in 1887 and it became a popular tourist destination due to its natural hot springs and lush desert landscape. In 1906, a railroad line was built through Borrego Springs linking it with San Diego. Today, there are several luxury resorts located throughout the town including The Ritz-Carlton Resort at Palm Canyon, La Casa del Zorro Inn & Spa, and The Spa at Solage Resort & Casino.
