Idyllwild, CA

Idyllwild is a small town located in the San Jacinto Mountains, about an hour's drive north of Los Angeles. The town was founded in 1887 by George and Martha Wilson, who named it after the idyllic English village they had visited. At its peak, Idyllwild boasted a population of 2,000 people. Today, the population is just over 1,000.

The main industry in Idyllwild is tourism. The town is known for its natural beauty and its many hiking trails. There are also several ski resorts nearby, including Mt. San Jacinto State Park and Snow Summit Resort.
