Mountain View, California is a city located in the San Francisco Bay Area. The city has a population of about 106,000 and is home to many technology companies such as Google, Apple, and Facebook. Mountain View was originally known as Mill Valley and was founded in 1851 by John Sutter. The city became known as Mountain View in 1951 when it was incorporated.
