Oak View, CA

Oak View is a suburb of San Francisco, California. The population was 10,824 at the 2010 census. Oak View is located in southwestern San Mateo County, bordered by Belmont to the north, Hillsborough to the east and south, and Foster City to the west.

Oak View was developed in the late 1960s as part of a large-scale suburban development project in western San Mateo County. The original developers were William Wrigley Jr., Philip Morris and their associates. The name " Oak View" was chosen because of its views of the San Francisco Bay Area and Mount Tamalpais.

Today, Oak View remains a popular suburb for families seeking a safe and comfortable environment with excellent schools and access to shopping, dining and entertainment options in neighboring cities such as Belmont Village, Hillsborough Village and Foster City.
