Placerville, CA

The city of Placerville is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, about 60 miles east of Sacramento. The population was 17,898 at the 2010 census.

The city's economy is based on agriculture, with a significant portion of its workforce employed in the production of fruits and vegetables. However, since the 1990s, Placerville has experienced a renaissance as a center for high-tech industry. Today, it is home to several major technology companies and has been dubbed "Silicon Valley North." This growth has led to an increase in real estate prices and an influx of new residents.
