San Leandro, CA

San Leandro is a city located in Alameda County, California. The population was 106,096 at the 2010 census. San Leandro is located on the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay and includes parts of Oakland and Hayward.

The city was first settled by Spanish missionaries in 1777 as part of the Mission San José de Guadalupe. In 1853, following the Mexican-American War, Alameda County was created from a portion of Contra Costa County and San Leandro became its county seat. The city's economy has been based on manufacturing, retail, and service industries. It has also been known for its high concentration of technology companies and startups.
