Walnut Creek is a city located in Contra Costa County, California. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 67,094. The city was incorporated on October 7, 1894. It is located in the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area and lies approximately 25 miles east of downtown San Francisco.
