Woodbury is a town in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 9,827 at the 2010 census. It is part of the New HavenMilford metropolitan area.

The town was first settled in 1702 by Jonathan Trumbull and other colonists from Farmington, Connecticut. The town was named for Colonel Nicholas Woodbury (1686-1764), an American Revolutionary War general who served as the Governor of Connecticut from 1739 to 1741. Colonel Woodbury's home, now known as the Nicholas Woodbury House and Museum, is located in the center of town.

Woodbury is one of Fairfield County's wealthiest towns with a median household income over $100,000. Many residents commute to jobs in New Haven or Stamford. There are several schools in Woodbury including Sacred Heart School (K-8), Saint Joseph School (9-12), and Westhill High School (13-18).
