Titusville is a city located in Brevard County, Florida. The population was 39,521 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Melbourne- Titusville- Palm Bay Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The city of Titusville was founded in 1887 by George W. Merrick and James Titus, two pioneers who were looking for a place to raise cattle and crops. The city grew rapidly due to its location on the St Johns River and its proximity to Orlando. In 1905, Titusville became the county seat of Brevard County after a campaign led by then-Governor John Mott Smith.
