Lexington, GA is a city located in the northeast corner of the state. It is bordered by North Carolina to the north, east and south, and by Georgia to the west. The population was 116,898 as of the 2010 census. Lexington is home to many universities including The University of Kentucky (UK), Transylvania University, and Emory University. Lexington also has a thriving business community with major companies such as Lexmark International, Owens- Illinois Inc., and Coca-Cola having their headquarters in Lexington.
