Macomb, IL

Macomb is a city located in Macomb County, Illinois, United States. The population was 20,814 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Macomb County.

The city was founded in 1837 and was named for General James K. Polk, then the U.S. president. The city's economy has been based on manufacturing and agriculture until recent years when it has become more diversified with businesses such as health care and technology firms locating there.

Real estate in Macomb is diverse with homes ranging from starter homes to large estates on large lots or close to major highways and commercial areas.
