Dupont, IN

Dupont is a city located in Hamilton County, Indiana. The population was 17,827 at the 2010 census. Dupont is a suburb of Indianapolis and is part of the Indianapolis metropolitan area. Dupont has a rich history dating back to the early 1800s when it was known as "The Corners." The city's name was changed to Dupont in 1892 in honor of Samuel W. Dupont, who had made his fortune in the manufacture of firearms and ammunition.
