Waterloo, IA

Waterloo is a city located in central Iowa, and is the county seat of Black Hawk County. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 36,521. Waterloo was founded in 1856 and incorporated as a town in 1868. It became an incorporated city in 1901. Waterloo is home to the University of Northern Iowa, which was founded in 1961. The city's economy is based on education and manufacturing.
