Mulberry, KS

Mulberry is a small town in Johnson County, Kansas, located about 20 miles south of the city of Wichita. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. Mulberry was founded in 1872 and named for Mulberry Street in London.

The town's economy is based on agriculture and manufacturing. The largest employer in Mulberry is the Johnson County Department of Social Services, which employs about 200 people. Other major employers include Mulberry Middle School (about 100 employees), Mulberry Veterinary Clinic (about 50 employees), and a few small businesses.

The main street through Mulberry is lined with stores selling groceries, hardware, clothing, and other items typical of a small town.
