Harrison, MI

Harrison is a city in Macomb County, Michigan, United States. The population was 21,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Detroit metropolitan area.

The city was founded in 1835 and named for General James K. Harrison, who commanded American forces during the War of 1812. The city's economy has been based on manufacturing and agriculture until recent decades when it has become more diversified with services and technology businesses. In 2006, Forbes magazine ranked Harrison as one of America's "100 Best Places to Live."
