Sterling, MI

Sterling is a small town in the Metro Detroit area, located about 25 miles west of Detroit. The population was just over 10,000 as of the 2010 census. Sterling has been a farming community since the early 1800s, and it was not until after World War II that the town began to grow. In 1961, Sterling became home to one of the first shopping centers in Michigan. Today, Sterling is home to several large retail stores and a number of restaurants and businesses.

The most popular type of housing in Sterling is detached single-family homes; these accounted for 86% of all sales during the year 2014.
