Wheaton, MN

Wheaton is a small town located in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. The population of Wheaton was 17,814 as of the 2010 census. Wheaton is home to several businesses and organizations, including the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, Saint John's University, and the Mayo Clinic. Wheaton is also home to many residential areas, including North Wheaton, East Wheaton, West Wheaton, and South Wheaton.

Wheaton has a long history as a farming community. In 1855, Charles Loring founded what would become known as Loring Park. The park was named for Dr. Charles Loring (1792-1864), an American physician who served in the Mexican-American War and later became the first medical director of the United States Army Medical Department.

Wheaton began to develop as a residential area in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Many of the homes in North Wheaton were built between 1910 and 1920; East Wheaton followed suit around 1930-1940; West Wheatoon began to develop in earnest after World War II; while South Wheato n saw its first development in the 1970s and 1980s.

Today, there are many different types of housing available in wheton: single family homes (both detached and attached), townhomes/condos/apartments, duplexes/triplexes/quadruplexes/and row houses/townhouses). There are also a number of different neighborhoods within wheton: North wheato n (including Loring Park), East wheato n (including Ridgedale), West wheato n (including Woodland Hills), South wheato n (including Summit Ridge), Highland Park (just south of downtown wheton), Maplewood Manor (just north of downtown wheton) ,and numerous other neighborhoods throughout town .

The real estate market in wh aton has seen steady growth over recent years due to increasing demand from both local residents and people who commute into th e Twin Cities metro area . In 2017 ,the median sale price for single family homes was $273K , while condos sold for an average price o f $224K . Rental properties have also seen strong demand over recent years – with rentals averaging $1 ,711 per month as of 2017 .
