Baring, MO

Baring is a small town located in the northwest corner of Missouri. The population was just over 1,000 people as of the 2010 census. The town is located on U.S. Route 65 and is about an hour from Kansas City and St. Louis. Baring has a small commercial district along Main Street that includes a bank, grocery store, gas station, and several other businesses. There are also several homes for sale in Baring, most of which are single-family dwellings. The majority of the homes in Baring are either brick or frame construction with some having vinyl siding. There are also a few newer homes available in Baring that have been built with fiberglass insulation and other energy-saving features.

The real estate market in Baring is generally stable with prices ranging from $60,000 to $160,000 for single-family dwellings and $100,000 to $200,000 for multi-family dwellings. The median price for single-family dwellings was $105,500 as of May 2011 while the median price for multi-family dwellings was $130,000 as of that same date. Sales activity in Baring has been relatively low over the past few years with only six sales recorded during 2010 and 2011 combined.
