Berger is a small town in Warren County, Missouri, population about 1,000. Berger is located on U.S. Route 66, about 10 miles south of Warrensburg and 25 miles north of Springfield. The town was founded in 1873 by Charles Berger and named for his father-in-law, John Berger. The town grew slowly at first because the railroad bypassed it in favor of more important towns nearby.
