Clark is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 10,827,[10] reflecting an increase of 1,914 (+37.5%) from the 6,872 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 2,711 (+51.4%) from the 4,715 counted in the 1990 Census.[19]
Clark was incorporated as a borough on February 21, 1894,[20] from portions of Saddle River Township and Teterboro Township.[21][22] The borough was named for William Clark (1770-1838), an American explorer who led an expedition across North America during 1804-06.[23][24][25]
The borough is served by two schools: Clark High School and Saddle River Regional Vocational Technical School. There are also several churches and businesses located within its borders.
