Delaware, NJ

Delaware, NJ is a municipality located in the southern part of New Jersey. The municipality was incorporated on February 21, 1857, from portions of Newark and Bloomfield Township. Delaware is one of the most densely populated municipalities in New Jersey with over 68,000 residents. The municipality’s population has grown rapidly since the early 1990s as a result of suburban development in neighboring communities such as Cherry Hill and Haddonfield.
