Glenwood is a borough in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 8,829,[10][11] reflecting an increase of 1,569 (+27.4%) from the 6,902 counted in the 2000 Census.[12]
Glenwood was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 12, 1894,[13] from portions of Mendham Township.[14][15] The borough derives its name from Glenwood Forest,[16][17] which once covered much of what is now Morris County. The borough was formed during the late 19th century as part of an effort to break up large and unwieldy municipalities and to provide more efficient government services.
