Westwood is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 10,898,[1][2] reflecting an increase of 1,564 (+14.4%) from the 9,903 counted in the 2000 Census,[3] which had in turn increased by 2,711 (+25.0%) from the 7,527 counted in the 1990 Census.[4]

Westwood was incorporated as a borough on March 3, 1898,[5] from portions of Hackensack Township.[6][7][8] The name Westwood is derived from its location west of Englewood.[9][10]

The borough is served by Westwood Public Schools. The schools are located at 401 Engle Road and have an enrollment of approximately 2200 students in grades K-12.[11][12]
