Endicott, NY

Endicott is a town in the Finger Lakes region of New York. The population was 18,814 at the 2010 census. Endicott is located in the eastern part of the county and is bordered by Binghamton to the south, Ithaca to the west, and Elmira to the north.

The town was first settled around 1786 by a group of Quakers from Philadelphia. The town's name is derived from an English word meaning "end of a valley." Endicott was chartered in 1812 and became an important center for milling and manufacturing during the 19th century. The local economy has since diversified into health care, technology, and tourism.
