Pembroke, NC

Pembroke is a small town located in Harnett County, North Carolina. The population was 9,868 as of the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Harnett County.

The town was founded in 1853 and named for Pembroke, Wales. The town was originally part of Harnett County but became an independent city in 1909. Pembroke is known for its antique shops and galleries, its downtown district with several historic buildings, and its proximity to the Blue Ridge Mountains.
