Mentor, OH

Mentor is a city in Lake County, Ohio, United States. The population was 30,827 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland- Akron- Canton Combined Statistical Area.

The city was founded in 1806 by General Moses Cleaveland and named for Mentor of the Bible. It was originally part of Geauga County but became a separate county in 1835. The city grew rapidly as a center for industry during the early years of the 20th century and remains an important manufacturing and distribution center today.

Real estate is one of Mentor's most important industries. The city has many well-maintained neighborhoods with plenty of available housing stock, making it an attractive place to live or invest in property. There are also a number of new development projects underway that will add even more homes to the market over time.
