West Chester is a city located in Chester County, Ohio, United States. The population was 30,898 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Chester County. West Chester was founded in 1798 by General Anthony Wayne and named for his friend and patron, William West, 3rd Baron De La Warr.

West Chester is home to the University of Cincinnati Bearcats football team as well as the National Football League's Cleveland Browns training camp site.
