Grandfield, OK

Grandfield is a small town located in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma. The population was 1,821 at the 2010 census. Grandfield is home to the Grandfield Golf Course and the historic courthouse.

The town of Grandfield was founded in 1892 by J.W. and Mollie ( Porter) Smith. The town was named for its founder, Judge James W. Grandfield, who served as the first county judge of Pottawatomie County. The town's early economy was based on agriculture and livestock production. In recent years, however, the economy has shifted to include tourism and real estate development.
