The Passaic River forms its eastern border with Hawthorne and Glen Ridge municipalities before flowing into Passaic County.[22][23][24][25][26] The western border follows Route 17 along a ridge that separates two watersheds: one that drains into Hackensack River[27] and another that flows into Raritan Bay.[28][29][30]
