Union City is a borough in Union County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 10,876 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Scranton–Wilkes-Barre– Hazleton metropolitan area.

The borough was founded in 1868 and named for the city of Union, New Jersey. The borough's original boundaries included what are now parts of Hazleton and Dunmore. In 1895, the borough annexed land from Hazleton Township to its north and east. In 1922, it annexed land from Dunmore Township to its south and west.
