Hershey, Pennsylvania is a town of about 120,000 people located in the central part of the state. It is known for its chocolate and its Hershey's Kisses. The town was founded in 1894 by Milton S. Hershey and his brother-in-law, James L. Valentine.

The Chocolate Factory, which is now a tourist attraction, was originally built as a factory to produce candy bars using the new process of tempering chocolate with milk instead of water.
