Morris, PA

Morris is a borough in Morris County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 9,848 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Reading Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Morris was first settled in 1798 by Nicholas and Rebecca (Crawford) Morris. The town was named for Colonel John Morriss of Philadelphia, who donated the land for the original town site. A post office has been in operation at Morris since 1802.

The borough's economy is based on retail sales and services, with a significant portion of its workforce employed in health care and other professional services industries. Morris is also home to several large corporate headquarters including Abbott Laboratories, Cardinal Health, and Verizon Communications.
