Reading, PA

Reading is a city located in Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 33,827 at the 2010 census. Reading is the principal city of the Reading metropolitan area, which had a population of 139,964 at the 2010 census.

Reading is home to several major corporations and institutions such as J&J Snack Foods (formerly Nabisco), Hershey Foods Corporation ( Hershey Chocolate), and PPL Corporation (formerly Penn Central Transportation Company). These companies have helped to make Reading one of the wealthiest cities in Pennsylvania. In addition, Reading is also home to several universities such as Penn State University- Reading and Temple University- Reading.

Real estate in Reading has seen strong growth over the past few years. This growth has been due in part to increased demand for housing from both families and businesses alike. In addition, many new residential developments have been built in recent years that have helped to meet this demand.
