Prospect is a borough in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,812 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

The borough was founded in 1795 and named for its founder, General James Prospect. The town was originally laid out on the site of an Indian village that had been destroyed by white settlers. Prospect became an important transportation hub because it was located on the main road between Philadelphia and Reading. In 1811, Prospect became a borough after being incorporated as a township with 1,000 residents.

During the 19th century, Prospect developed into a prosperous mill town because of its location on the Schuylkill River and access to water power from numerous mills. The borough's economy declined during the 20th century because of competition from larger cities such as Philadelphia and Reading. However, since 2000, when several large businesses moved into town, Prospect has seen renewed economic growth due to its proximity to Center City Philadelphia and strong job market prospects.

Today, Prospect is home to several small businesses and restaurants as well as two hospitals: St Luke's Hospital and Good Shepherd Hospital- Bucks County Campus. The borough also has a number of churches including Christ Church (Episcopal), Saint John's Evangelical Lutheran Church (LCMS), First Presbyterian Church (USA), Grace Episcopal Church (Anglican), Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (Roman Catholic) and Temple Israel Synagogue (Jewish). There are also two public parks: Franklin Park and Washington Park which offer recreational opportunities such as baseball fields, basketball courts, playgrounds and picnic areas.

The most notable landmark in Prospect is the William Penn statue which stands in front of Borough Hall overlooking Main Street.
